Loose Parts

EXHIBITION STATEMENT
Inspired by Simon Nicholson’s “loose parts” theory, this body of work investigates the potential for imagination within lifeless objects. Found materials—wood, rope, soil, and concrete—are assembled into structures resembling obstacle courses or spaces for pause, evoking both challenge and contemplation. The work encourages viewers to consider how meaning is constructed, revealing the power of unassuming objects to invite new perspectives and interactions. In their raw, unaltered state, these materials offer a reflection on the human capacity to transform what is idle or inert into spaces for discovery and introspection.
