Stampede

EXHIBITION STATEMENT

Stampede is a body of work born from “sculptural printmaking,” an indexical process that extends traditional printmaking into three-dimensional space. Each piece is cast and assembled from local found materials—rotting wood, blown tires, pewter, raw clay, and even strands of my own hair—revealing forms that are both familiar and newly realized. Like an archaeologist excavating from the earth, I carefully unearth each cast from its source, allowing multiples to emerge as distinct, unified entities. This systematic, tactile process serves as an exploration of landscape and memory, inviting a dialogue between the imprinted materials and the spaces they evoke.
